Hey there,
i am Benjamin, very happy to work for and with The World Cafe in global communications.
You can find me online as a community gardener for our online space - welcoming new members, keeping an overview of what is happening and helping people to find good spots and threads to share their stories and reflections. I want to be there in service for this diverse online community to flourish and live into it's potential.
I like to explore ways to relate in a tangible way to the diverse collective that we are. What i can tell you also is that the average age of members is 44 years... so part of my mission will also be to attract young energy here ;)
A few words about me; my 24yr young life has had important milestones like living in an ecovillage community in my home country Germany, doing a deep ecology training with a vision quest, working in the Hub in Berlin in communications, studying a bit of Bioinformatics, travelling the US and since last September studying and playing at the KaosPilot school in Denmark. I love ecstatic dance and i love to see people connected to their source and shining bright in their unique beauty - what i stand for in my life at this point is to foster alive energy flows in all forms of expressions in myself and in others.
I am a very passionate and full-hearted networker and love to connect and conduct flows of information, motivation and inspiration. I resonate a lot with the field of collective intelligence and begin to birth my own contribution and energetic perceptions on movements an all layers of experience.

I've been watching quite a bit of "free-running" on youtube, also called 'parkour.' It's a new combo of urban gymnastics, martial arts and play that takes beautiful skill and courage. But it's extension into a livelihood is for stuntmen.

Thank you Benjamin for your welcome into the world cafe community.
Tomorrow morning I will be hosting my first world cafe type gathering... 80 managers who will be coming together to discuss the newly defined company values. I have 12 senior managers hosting tables, I have 3 important questions that I hope they will also find important, I have flip chart paper galore, colored pencils and magic markers, colored post its and various other materials that I hope will seduce them into talking openly and sharing with one another their thoughts, feeling and concerns regarding these values.
I'm a little concerned about the harvesting piece and hope I will be able to help them reach meaningful outputs, but whatever happens - the process itself will be important, Anyway - at this point, I have to have faith that all will go well... will keep you posted!

Thank you for your kind welcome. I was sent the way of the World Cafe by a colleague who thought I would enjoy the goings on, but do not know very much about what kinds of work and/or serious play members are engaging in here. Would you tell me a bit more about the Cafe?

I will introduce myself shortly.
To answer your question about World Leadership Day. Yes, I am involved. I am the founder and global director of World Leadership Day, launched in March 2007 in Sydney Australia.
I was first introduced to World Cafe by our World Leadership Day Ambassadors of France and Singapore - it is a powerful process to faciliatate leadership dialogue across gender, generations and cultures - a perfect fit for us.
Personally I have used the World Cafe conversation process for the first time at our 2011 Australian World Leadership Day event. It was wonderfully engaging and the feedback was positive. Our oldest participant was an Aboriginal Elder age 85. She loved it.
I look forward to participating in any way I can and to learn and share.
Thanks Benjamin! That's very kind. Yes I have to get some more info in my page.. I am working at a proposal at the moment and soon will find the moment for doing that.
By the way, are you are of any conversation going on around urban green areas management, identity politics and power-dynamics?
