'birds of a feather flock together' and 'finding a new table'

An old saying goes: birds of a feather flock together.Sometimes people like sitting together with persons who have the same preference in the world cafe, which will lead to the result that people will be almost the same in a small team. The process of 'finding a new table' may becomes 'finding the same person', so the process of 'finding a new table' can not work. Of course, this is not necessarily to happen, but it is really happening in many organizations and agencies such as within the same…See More

What are the differences between brainstorming and the world cafe ? Thanks for all

As a simple and complicated question, the differences between the brainstorming and the world cafe always make me in trouble. Compared with brainstorming, do the world cafe just have a more between-group sharing process? Or other differences?Maybe it is simple the question I put up, but I still want to find some differences between…See More

Dear Stephen,

Welcome! You can find information about the World Cafe and this community in the "Orientation" and "Resources" tabs in this website - please let me know if you have questions or need help.

There are many people here from mainland China, and there have been two Chinese translations of the World Cafe book published in China. You may like to use an "advanced search" to find others in your region who are interested in World Cafe, and I know (and others here) would love to hear more about you and how you became aware of the World Cafe.

Best Wishes,

Amy
