Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
Host, Sponsor, Participant
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
I first met Juanita and David, and first participated in a World Cafe, in Halifax, June 2001. We hosted a "Leadership Cafe" conversation for the local community, David and Juanita led an 18-hour module on "hosting strategic conversations" entirely in cafe format, and we experimented with Cafe plenary sessions involving 300 people.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I can offer connections to our ALIA Institute community, knowledge about mindfulness as a leadership and social change practice, and genuine friendship.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Just knowledge that such a thriving network continues to engage people and their communities around the world in conversations about what matters, so that we collectively increase our capacity for wise action.
Susan, A big YES on the Ning to NIng links - did you see the link to the ALIA Ning site in the right column of this site? I told Michael I was doing it and he suggested I send the links to Mark, who I understand is caring for the ALIA Ning site - I haven't done it yet, but only because of lack of time lately. What fun!
Welcome from me too, dearest Susan....
I'm thrilled to see you here too! Would love you hear how you think the multi-gen at Alia is going. I just got back from an amazing multi-gen gathering on "Integral Activism" bringing together systems thinking, spirituality, and social change. These younger leaders are truly amazing!
You and I haven't met yet, but Mark may have spoken about me as we co-produced the Triple World Cafe (his title :-) for Alia Institute late last month. In fact, I've just written the story up and posted it to the StoryNet, but not yet had a chance to send him the link so he can read it and correct any mistakes. :-) Don't tell him yet, please! :-)
