Hello Beth - I will be at the BASoL meeting on Friday. Thanks for mentioning the meeting on this site.

The Collective Wisdom work - I participated in a study (back in 2000) and I know Tom Hurley, who is a central player in the World Cafe Community, in addition to Juanita & David have been contributors and supporters of this work - so, YES, if any of you are curious, please join us this Friday.

Beth - I hope to see you there! Andrea

Hi Beth,
You're right...that should do it. I will give it a try.

Hello everyone--so glad to be joining this conversation!
Hi Terry- have you tried the @ instead of the [at]?
Everyone--In case you are not aware, BASoL is hosting Alan Briskin, whose topic will be "Collective Wisdom & the Transformation of Social Fields," on Jan 22, 10-3, in SF. I'm not familiar with his work, but it sounds relevant to TWC endeavors. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
For whatever reason, my computer is having trouble using lisaheft[at]openingspace.net as an email address. Can you assist please?
Thank you,
Terry

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the information about your monthly convenings. It is delightful to find a group of people that are so engaged in creating deeper dialogues for deeper understanding. I will send you an email requesting information about your monthly meetings.

Great to know about Lisa's gatherings. I recently discovered a group who are exploring the ideas posed by Douglas Engelbart (a silicon valley visionary). These ideas are all about how we can be more collectively intelligent, better collaborators, etc. You can learn more at http://www.human-landscaping.com/nextnow/

Lisa dear one,
How wonderful that you are hosting these gatherings. Whatever "doorway" we go through ie Open Space, World Cafe, AI --we are entering the spaces of generative conversation and committed action--exercising conversational leadership. It's great that these different strands can form such a beautiful weave of friendship and practice together.
I also wanted to attach a recent lead article in the Systems Thinker that Tom Hurley and I did on Conversational Leadership:Thinking Together for a Change. Does anyone know how I can attach it somewhere here?

With fond regards,
Juanita

Hi, all - I host a monthly drop-in pot-luck breakfast conversation for Bay Area facilitators (of all kinds) - we meet in Berkeley. Usually happens on one of the last few Mondays of the month, from 9a-11a. If you'd like to join us contact me directly at lisaheft[at]openingspace.net and include 'Fabulous Facilitators' in the title - I can send you more information. I look forward to seeing some of you there...

Good to hear from you Terry. Laura Peck and I have hosted the bay area group about once a year over the past several years - usually in the east bay area somewhere. In addition to that, several practioners have also hosted gatherings around different topics / ideas, e.g., climate change, multi-generational cafes, etc...
So we do not currently have a recurring rythym and one of the intents of establishing this online group is to create a space for anyone interested to easily convene, invite, and / or inform others of conversations in the area. I hope this helps. Warmly, Andrea
