Profile Information

Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
Host, Participant
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
Initially from a colleague who encouraged me to read the World Cafe book.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Health, Corporate, Government, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
In 2009-10 I hosted a couple of World Cafes with our Equality Stakeholder Reference Group and received very positive feedback from all participants. I also contributed to the planning and hosting of a North Wales community World Cafe/Big conversation event led by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
I really like the way that World Cafe principles create a space in which people can relax, have fun and be enabled to contribute. It's been a great method for moving thinking forward on some of those 'wicked issues'.
I've discovered a lot of enthusiasm amongst my colleagues for the Cafe method and principles and we continue to work at developing and improving our skills in designing powerful questions. Our next venture will be a series of world cafe conversations in the New Year about Values for a new organization...
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Ideas, support and connection with other contributors and hosts.

Reflecting that first half of 2011 has been a great time for engaging in World Cafe in Wales! Been involved with a number of colleagues in designing and participating in a series of strategic conversations and World Cafe events in an organization seeking to identify their core values following major change

I also discovered Fran, a graphic recorder based in Wales and recently we hosted an introduction to visual recording/SI workshop led by Chris Chopyak & Fran O'Hara. Wonderful to finally meet & work with Chris and greatly appreciated by all participants, now planning her return visit to deliver a training course in autumn.
