The 19th February 2013 in London. We'll be using WC but with an emphasis on Appreciative Inquiry

Quick question is anyone using World Cafe as a data colection source as part of their PhD research in the UK?  If so it would be great to have a chat.

Hi Christine, great initiative and look forward to linking up sometime.  I have been fortunate to be part of a team who are about to launch their first World Cafe in South London.  Can't wait.

That sounds great Amelia and I am sure some of our London based UK Cafe supporters would love to join you

I recently did a World Cafe in Stroud (video link in my comment below)), Glouscestershire and will also be hosting a world cafe type cabaret at the 'Bank of Ideas' as part of Occupy London. Basically we are inviting a diverse group to come together and talk at small tables etc as well as watching artists/musicians and speakers. When the event is con firmed I will put up details. Is anyone based in London or the South? I would love to do some collaborating/co- facilitating and graphic recording:)

I look forward to hearing from anyone and everyone,

Hi Chris,

We just finished a big series of cafes, but they have been so popular, I know it won't be long before we do more with some of our stakeholders. Sorry it won't be in time for your 13th Dec session, though!

Great to see so many discussions about Cafe activities. I am based in Newcastle and do alot of graphic recording if anyone is interested in having their event graphically recorded in that neck of the woods.

Best regards,

Rebecca - are you hosting anything in the next couple of weeks? I have a couple of people who would love to observe and support a cafe and are hosting one themselves on the 13th of December. AND, I agree with Christine - there are going to be significant needs with all the budget cutbacks in the coming months. Lost of good opporutnity to use conversation to find out what we hold in common and how we can move from where we are to where we want to be.

Hi Rebecca
Welcome to the group, I am on my way up to Edinburgh this afternoon to run a session, sadly more of a training event than a cafe event. There is going to be a massive need to help people plan for changes in the UK over the next few years and the cafe method is a good one to get them talking, good luck with it and do let us know what you find out in your practice!
