Hi Valerie....that´s a beautiful picture! And I love the idea of the Saturday Salon.
With best wishes for the holidays,
Juanita
Sorry the image is so huge! LOL I was expecting a thumbnail! Man, do I need a webmaster!!
Still trying to navigate the site, so hope this is the most recent topic here - when talking about food, poverty, etc. an inspirational yet pragmatic book is Animal, Vegetable, Mineral by Barbara Kingsolver. I think that's the title, something like that anyway. If you're looking for topics, click on the topics page of my site - I have a bunch, and the book has much more. We post new ones all the time, so contact me if you have suggestions. Hope everyone's 2012 is full of good surprises!http://thesaturdaysalon.com
Yes, I love these themes!
Several of the topics you've identified (Economics, Poverty, Food/Agriculture) are going to be the focus for individual events in a series of free public conversations World Cafe partner weDialogues is hosting in 2011. I'm excited about this and will tell you more about these events later, but coming back to the topic of our next Community Cafe (in March), let me start a conversation thread here focused on that and move over your ideas, Wilfried and Ria.
End poverty
Wouldn´t that be a brilliant theme for one of the next WC?!
