WC on Holocaust with high school students

I have been asked to host a Cafe for 44 high school students on the topic of the Holocaust. I would appreciate help forming an appropriate question for this Cafe. Also, if anyone has done similar cafes with this type of audience on this or related topics, I would love to learn from your experience. Thanks

Tom Genovese commented on Sandy Heierbacher's blog post 'Advice on where to buy tablecloths for World Cafe?'
I went online to Joann Fabrics and bought cafe tablecloth looking fabric from their clearance section and cut it into 45" squares myself. Works for card tables and 36" rounds. I'm using the same tablecloths for the 3rd time at a cafe I'm hosting thi…

Thank you for this group. Last April, I hosted a World Cafe in the Florida Keys on the question of "What would a sustainable Florida Keys look like?". I invited the participants to imagine that they were in an art gallery and saw a large framed pain…

Tom Genovese replied to Ben Roberts's discussion 'Process Clarification' in the group The art of questioning
I have read extensively about the WC process and I have never run across anything advising against giving the question in advance. Certainly, you should at least give the topic. However, I personally don't think there is anything to be gained from w…

Tom Genovese replied to Ben Roberts's discussion 'Process Clarification' in the group The art of questioning
I held a WC on environmental sustainability in the Florida Keys last April, and I did give the question in advance both to promote attendance and to give the participants something to think about. There were about 30 participants and I did not notic…

Tom Genovese replied to Dave Shaw's discussion 'What are your sacred questions? Why do you ask them? How do they evolve?' in the group The art of questioning
My sacred question is "What gives life meaning?" This is a more foundational question than What is the meaning of life? or What is the meaning of my life? I am inspired by Viktor Frankl's book "Man's Search for Meaning." From him I've come to realiz…

Keyswide Sustainability Cafe

I am leading an interagency team planning a World Cafe event we've titled The Keyswide Sustainability Cafe to be held on April 30, 2010. To our knowledge, this is the first Cafe event ever to be held in the Florida Keys. We are devouring all the World Cafe resources we can find in planning this event. We are both apprehensive and excited about the possibilities. I will also post a narrative of this experience on Storynet after the event.

"What haven't we asked that you'd like to share?"
My presumed question that had not been asked was: Who is buried in Grant's tomb? - hence my reply...

How is the book? Perhaps the power of inquiry is leading me to read it too?

Cheers, Mark
