Hi Joanna,
How wonderful to have you here with us!-- and how great to know you are going to Bolivia and will introduce the World Cafe there. We're hosting a wonderful gathering of World Cafe Latino Stewards in Brazil in January -- so if you find any real "kindreds" there who fall in love with the World Cafe and more importantly, creating a culture of dialogue in Bolivia--please let us know and we'll invite them.

With warmest regards and would love to know more about your work.

Hello all!

My name is Carmelina, I was introduced to 'world cafe' last month as part of my Masters in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (Sweden). I hope to have the chance to learn more about it and how best to apply it when I'm done here.

Cheers

Thanks, Marzena, the orchard looks beautiful! How was the experience of the Cafe?

Seymour, welcome and thanks for your offer.

On another topic, there will be an event about the Art of Hosting in Boston, January 25-28. Here is the link in case you are interested.

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Thanks Seymour....the very best of luck in your efforts....

And Cathie....you might also want to put your question in the group on Methods of Strategic Collaboration as it's one of our largest groups and more likely to receive a response there.

Warmly,
Juanita

Marcela, you have asked me about what else was going on during our Community Day. Well, people were talking about a new project-starting an orchard and, thanks to Liz, we just finished planting our apple, cherry and pear trees last weekend. Soon there would more pictures from this event coming on http://www.oakvalegardens.ca/

Juanita,

I live in Thornhill, just North of Toronto proper.
As part of my current personal transformation to Facilitator and OD person, learned about World cafe as I read the "Change Handbook" by Holman and Devane for my OD Masters course.
I am now trying to "offer myself up" to anyone needing a hand in OD , change , so I can immerse myself and being practical "get a job".

I live in Oakville, near Toronto, and facilitate dialogue between the faith community, politicians, non-profit leads and other organizations, to collaborate ways to meet the needs of the homeless and poor in our community. However - I am a newbie and am learning by doing - The first gathering I did was Open Space (60 participants) - great success. I now have a smaller gathering from that group - around 20 - and want to start with powerful questions - we have 2 hours. Any helpful thoughts?
